Piano Recital

Abigail performed "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and "Fiddler on the Roof" at the piano recital today.  She keeps time with her little body as she plays.

Joseph was slated to play as well, but his baseball team kept advancing in the playoffs so he had game we were not expecting. Luckly, he did all the preparation for the recital (practicing, memorizing his piece, etc.) so he got the benefits even though he didn't perform.

Anna was very sick so I actually stayed home with her--missing both the recital and most of the game.

Abigail Rides A Bike!

This week Abigail turned the corner on two-wheel bike riding. She's got it down and LOVES to bike. This morning she woke up at 6:30 and was ready to ride around the neighborhood. It is so fun to see her accomplish this; she has been afraid and it didn't come easily to her, which most things actually do. It is wonderful to see her develop confidence and independence.

Joseph's First Track Meet

Joseph's running club at school participated in a community track meet. He ran several events, including the mile in which he got a personal best: 6 minutes, 30 seconds. I think

2017 Baseball

I am so proud of Joseph! He has worked really hard this year! I love watching him play.
It is fun to see how much he has improved--stealing bases with these leads that often require diving back for the base, hitting hard, making great plays in the field. And, most important to me, being a good teammate.

His games have been mostly late this season so the girls have only been able to attend a few. Marc typically puts them to bed while I watch my boy play!  But on the occasions they have come, they enjoy the nearby playground with the climbing apparatus, or playing on iphones--this definitely is a new generation!!

Family 5k

Marc's work hosts 5k running events each month early on a Friday morning. Our family enjoys going together.  Joseph is getting quite fast!
